| 3rd season of Party of Five coming in March! | 5 Jan, 08 |
After a December 2005 release of the second season, Sony has finally gotten around to announcing Party of Five - The Complete 3rd Season for DVD! After a two-and-a-quarter year wait, fans will finally get their hands on the third season (out of six total) this March 25th. Here’s the studio description:
The third season of this pop-culture phenomenon comes to DVD! This season’s filled with challenges: Kristin’s parents take her home when she loses her PhD after plagiarizing; Charlie longs for the good old days until he realizes that things weren’t that great; Julia feels guilty when a friend commits suicide; Claudia authorizes a $3000 plumbing repair when no one is around; and the family bands together to help Bailey confront his drinking problem. Stars Matthew Fox (TV’s “Lost”), Jennifer Love Hewitt (TV’s “Ghost Whisperer”), Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls), Neve Campbell (Scream 1 – 3), Scott Wolf (TV’s “Everwood”), Paula Devicq (TV’s “Rescue Me”).
Jeremy London (who’s got something like 10 different films coming out!) and Scott Grimes (”Dr. Morris” on ER) return in their recurring roles, plus you’ll also spot Marla Sokoloff, James Sloyan, Ben Browder, Ben Savage, Dan Lauria, Carroll O’Connor, Corinne Bohrer, singer Randy Newman and High School Musical drama teacher “Mrs. Darbus”, Alyson Reed.
These 25 episodes come on 5 DVDs, running 1175 minutes. No extras look to be included (unless you count previews of other Sony TV-DVD releases). Presentation will be as originally broadcast, with full-frame video and English audio. The cost for this set will be $39.95 SRP. We’ve got an early (and small-ish) look at the cover art, but it is not yet final and could be subject to change:

| Neve And Whitford Burn Up For A Global Warming Mini-Series | 19 Dec, 07 |
What does Party Of Five and The West Wing have in common? Well, absolutely nothing…except for the fact they both have two very eco-savvy alumni. Bradley Whitford and Neve Campbell are both involved in a new mini-series that deals with global warming, entitled, Burn Up. Campbell and Whitford agree that they joined the project because of their strong passion for the environment and the subject of global warming. In the series, Neve plays an environmentally conscious oil company worker opposite Whitford’s less than green, oil company lobbyist.
Wait a tick-Neve Campbell plays an environmentally conscious oil company worker? Something about that seems awfully strange…oh yeah, it’s the words “environmentally conscious” and “oil company” in the same sentence. In response to that little paradox, Campbell says, “(My character) figures out how to fight for what she wants and how to do that in the sense of going along with what the oil company needs for its purposes, but also trying to angle things so that she can be helpful to the environment.”

| Neve set for Burn Up | 5 Oct, 07 |
Bradley Whitford (”The West Wing”) and Neve Campbell are set to star in “Burn Up,” a four-hour global-warming thriller from scribe Simon Beaufoy (The Full Monty) and director Omar Madha (”MI5″).
U.S.-based Alchemy Television is distributing the project globally and is already talking to American networks about acquiring the two-parter, which comes from Kudos Film and Television and Seven24 Films. BBC2 and Global Television will air it in England and Canada, respectively.
In addition to Whitford and Campbell, British actor Rupert Penry-Jones (Casanova) is set to star in “Burn Up.” He’ll play the head of a fictional oil company whose life comes apart as he’s pulled into a global game of intrigue. Campbell will play an oil company staffer who’s secretly working with environmentalists, while Whitford will appear as an oil industry lobbyist.

| Neve on “Medium” | 11 Apr, 07 |
News from TVGuide.com:
My sixth sense for scoop is telling me that Medium is lining up some big guest stars this May (well, big for those of us who lived for Wednesday nights on Fox in the mid-’90s).
Sources with strong ties to the “other side” confirm that former 90210 pinup Jason Priestley has booked a three-episode arc as a gambling addict named Walter Paxton. He starts work this week, and his first episode airs in May.
Additionally, ex-Party of Fiver Neve Campbell will appear in a May sweeps episode, although details about her role are coming through a little fuzzy.
Ironically, since Medium airs opposite Lost, Campbell will essentially be competing against her former TV bro, Matthew Fox. Hey, I just thought of something: How totally awesome would it be if Owen turned up on CSI: NY? That’d be like hitting the Salinger trifecta!
